Baghdad: Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair confirmed on Saturday that the ministry has new plans regarding pipeline extension, export, and the development of the oil fleet, while noting that several projects will be inaugurated in the coming days with government support.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Minister of Oil stated in a press conference that “the ministry’s goal is to develop the refining sector and export products,” noting that “the issue of gas flaring will be resolved by the end of 2029.”
He added, “We have numerous plans regarding pipeline construction, exports, and the development of the oil fleet,” further stating that “several projects will be inaugurated in the coming days with government support.”
He explained that “investment in Iraq by foreign companies will provide significant financial returns and reduce unemployment.”
