Interior Ministry Enhances Security for Oil Pipelines Between Al-Sumoud and Al-Siniya Refineries

Baghdad: Interior Ministry said on Saturday that it had conducted inspection patrols to secure oil pipelines linking the Al-Sumoud and Al-Siniya refineries. Interior Ministry spokesman Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Hassoun stated that the General Directorate of Energy Police was continuing its morning inspection patrols, in line with directives from Senior Interior Ministry Undersecretary Hussein Al-Awadi, to secure the oil pipelines extending from the Al-Sumoud Refinery in Baiji towards the Al-Siniya Refinery.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the patrols are part of ongoing security efforts to protect national wealth and vital infrastructure and prevent any attempts to steal from or tamper with oil transmission pipelines, Al-Hassoun said. The initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to safeguarding key energy assets and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of crucial oil infrastructure in the region.
