Asala Nasri Set to Perform in Damascus After Long Hiatus

Damascus: Syrian artist Asala Nasri returns to her fans with her highly anticipated concert in Damascus. Asala Nasri has teased her fans about her return to the stage in her homeland through a video she recently posted on her official social media accounts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the video included footage of prominent landmarks in the Syrian capital, such as Umayyad Square, the Umayyad Mosque, and Mount Qasioun, while she sang a verse from the song “Bita Khadni Al Ayam” by the late Egyptian artist Mohamed Abdel Motaleb in the background.

The head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, Mazen Al Natour, had announced a few days earlier that Asala would be performing two concerts at the Al Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus on September 17th and 19th, “under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Syrian Artists Syndicate.”

The Syrian artist recently released a song titled “Asala… Asala,” with lyrics and music by Amjad Jumaa and arrangement by Fouad Junaid.
