Jalawla: Three children were killed and their mother sustained injuries in a fire that erupted in their home northeast of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source reported that the fire occurred in a residential house in the city of Jalawla, leading to the tragic death of three children. The children’s mother was injured and is currently receiving treatment at Jalawla General Hospital.

The source also mentioned that Civil Defense teams quickly responded to the incident, managing to control and extinguish the blaze. Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
