Hezbollah Urges Lebanon to Halt Israeli Aggression Amid Rising Tensions

Beirut: The Lebanese Hezbollah has issued a call to the Lebanese authorities to explore all available means to halt the Israeli aggression and resist continuing direct negotiations. In a recent statement, the party highlighted the severity of the situation, urging immediate action to protect Lebanese sovereignty and security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hezbollah’s statement detailed a brutal assault by the Israeli forces, resulting in the death of 11 Lebanese civilians, including children and women, and injuring 12 others. The attack targeted a house on the outskirts of the southern town of Ansar and a building in Deir Zahrani. Hezbollah condemned this escalation, attributing it to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political strategy aimed at bolstering his domestic standing and appeasing the extreme right.

The statement placed responsibility for the ongoing aggression on the Israeli government and its ally, the United States, urging Lebanese authorities to reconsider their current stance on direct negotiations. Hezbollah emphasized the need for Lebanon to adopt a patriotic and courageous position to safeguard its sovereignty and rights, criticizing the negotiations imposed by American influence.

Hezbollah further called for unity among all Lebanese factions, warning of the dangers posed by the current governmental approach, which it claims threatens Lebanon’s unity, security, and independence. The party vowed that Israel’s aggressive actions and transgressions would not go unanswered, pledging a suitable response to defend Lebanon and its national dignity.
