Diyala: All parties involved in the Kharnabat brawl in Diyala have been arrested. The Diyala Police Command announced today the arrest of all parties involved in the altercation that occurred in the Kharnabat area of Al-Abara district, which resulted in the death of two people and the injury of three others, including an army officer.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that the arrests were made as part of ongoing security operations, and that legal procedures have been initiated against all those accused in preparation for their referral to the judiciary.

A security source had announced last Thursday the death and injury of five people, including a lieutenant colonel, in an armed clash in the Kharnabat area. Security forces opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
