Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi offered his condolences today, Sunday, to the artistic and cultural community on the passing of artist Salah al-Qassab. The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi offered his condolences to the artistic and cultural community on the passing of the artist, theatrical pioneer, and academic, Dr. Salah al-Qassab.”

According to Iraqi News Agency, the deceased was a prominent figure in the theatrical and artistic community, with a rich and prolific career spanning decades, leaving his distinctive mark on the entire Iraqi cultural scene.

The statement concluded, “May God have mercy on the late al-Qassab, the artist and professor, and grant his family and loved ones patience and solace.”
