Erdogan Declares Turkey’s Support for Gaza and Regional Stability

Baghdad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced that Turkey will not abandon Gaza and will take all necessary measures to support it. He emphasized that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is adhering to its commitments, while Israel continues its military operations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan, in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, also expressed Turkey’s commitment to supporting Syria’s stability and announced plans to visit Syria soon. He assured that the Syrian Kurds will experience peace and stability, with Ankara continuing to foster relations and uphold Kurdish rights in the region.

Erdogan also expressed concern over Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which he discussed with US President Donald Trump, emphasizing the need for US intervention to end the conflict.

Additionally, Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s support for Sudan, describing relations with Sudan’s Sovereign Council head, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, as positive. He addressed the European Union accession, noting Europe’s lack of eagerness to admit Turkey and suggesting that Europe stands to lose in this scenario.

Erdogan concluded by mentioning a promise received from Trump regarding the F-35 fighter jets, expressing his expectation for the commitment to be honored.
