Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, held a meeting with Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to discuss pressing national issues. The discussions revolved around recent developments in the national arena, regional challenges, and strategies for maintaining internal stability, enforcing the rule of law, and upholding Iraqi sovereignty.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi underscored the importance of ongoing efforts to fortify state institutions in facing these challenges. He highlighted the need to consolidate the rule of law and safeguard national security. Sheikh Hamoudi urged the adoption of a comprehensive national vision to address these challenges, emphasizing that the supreme Iraqi interest should guide all positions and policies. He also called for preserving state unity and stability and supporting the armed forces and security services in fulfilling their constitutional duties.
