Al-nasiriya: Al-Gharraf secured a valuable victory over their guest, Nawroz, with a 1-0 win in the match held at Al-Nasiriya Stadium as part of the second round of the Iraqi Stars League. Al-Gharraf’s goal came from a penalty kick successfully converted by Sharif Abdul Kadhim in the 33rd minute of the first half, which ended in favor of the home team.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the first half was briefly interrupted due to a power outage, which resulted in the lights going out for more than ten minutes before play resumed. Despite this disruption, Al-Gharraf maintained their lead throughout the match.

In the second half, Nawroz attempted to equalize by increasing pressure on Al-Gharraf’s goal, especially in the final minutes of the match. However, their efforts were not enough, and the referee’s final whistle confirmed Al-Gharraf’s 1-0 victory and secured them three important points.

With this result, Al-Gharraf raised their tally to four points in the league standings, while Nawroz remained at one point.
