Duhok: The match between Al-Talaba and Duhok ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, a six-goal spectacle played at Duhok Stadium as part of the second round of the Iraqi Premier League.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the first half was full of excitement and impressive performances from both teams. Duhok took an early lead in the 7th minute through Safaa Adi, before Al-Talaba applied sustained pressure, resulting in an equalizer by their striker Saif Al-Rashid in the 18th minute.
Al-Rashid then added a second goal for Al-Talaba in the 37th minute, while Younis Hammoud managed to reduce the deficit for Duhok in the 42nd minute. However, Al-Rashid completed his hat-trick just a minute later, scoring Al-Talaba’s third goal in the 43rd minute, ending the first half with Al-Talaba leading 3-2.
In the second half, Duhok began to press Al-Talaba’s goal, and Younis Hammoud managed to equalize in the 48th minute, scoring his third goal of the match.
After the equalizer, the pace of the game slowed, and both teams adopted a more cautious approach, despite some attacking attempts that posed no real threat to either goal.
The final minutes saw a flurry of attacking activity from Al-Talaba, who launched several attacks on Duhok’s goal, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and the exciting match ended in a 3-3 draw.
