Baquba: The Ministry of Youth and Sports basketball tournament commenced this afternoon in Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate, with the presence of Ministry of Youth representative Mustafa Subhi al-Khazraji.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Captain Suhaib Rafat, head of the monitoring division, stated that the tournament is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The event is taking place at the indoor sports hall in Baquba, in collaboration with the Diyala Youth and Sports Directorate.

Rafat further mentioned that five clubs are competing in the tournament: Shaharban, Jalula, al-Khalis, al-Tarmiya, and Bilad al-Rafidain.
