Iran Issues Missile Threats Over Gulf Oil Pipelines

Tehran: Iranian Deputy Parliament Speaker Haji Babaei asserted that Gulf states should refrain from constructing oil pipelines to prevent the Strait of Hormuz from becoming obsolete.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babaei declared in a press statement that any country or entity working to establish oil pipelines with the aim of diminishing the importance of the Strait of Hormuz will become a target for missiles. He argued that such projects or any technical support for them serve the interests of the United States and constitute an attack on Iran.

He added that Tehran will consider any party laying alternative pipelines, providing technical support, or exchanging information with the United States in this regard as complicit in targeting Iran. Babaei pointed out that the construction of these pipelines contributes to reducing the importance of the Strait of Hormuz while simultaneously supporting the United States, Europe, and other countries.

He continued, emphasizing that Iran will treat these projects as part of a war targeting its interests, saying, “Whoever lays a pipeline with the aim of diminishing the importance of the Strait of Hormuz will be targeted by our missiles.”
