Nineveh: The Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday the arrest of an arms dealer in Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Tal Afar Anti-Crime Department of the Nineveh Governorate Police Command successfully apprehended the suspect after obtaining judicial approvals and conducting continuous investigation and surveillance. The arrest took place near the village of Tal Marg in the Al-Ayadiyah district, west of Mosul. The authorities seized 390 live rounds of 7.62 mm Kalashnikov ammunition from the suspect, along with two Tariq pistols, one 9 mm and one 8.5 mm.

The ministry stated that legal measures have been taken against the suspect, and he has been detained in accordance with Article 24/1 of the Weapons Law No. 51 of 2017.
