Amidi Emphasizes Regional Security Tied to Iraq’s Stability

Amidi: President Nizar Amidi affirmed that “there is no security in the region without the security and stability of Iraq.” Speaking at the Eighth Baghdad Dialogue Conference, the President stated, “The international coalition came at Iraq’s request to confront ISIS, and now we no longer need it, as it will withdraw on September 30th.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi further elaborated on Iraq’s stance regarding its sovereignty and regional relations. He emphasized that Iraq would not allow its territory to be used for attacks on other countries and stressed the need for dialogue and understanding with armed factions to achieve a national Iraqi solution for disarming them.
