Tuz khurmatu: A force from the 63rd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Sunday repelled an attack carried out by ISIS in Tuz Khurmatu district, east of Salah al-Din province.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the 63rd Brigade reported that an outpost belonging to its commando regiment came under an armed assault by a group of ISIS terrorist groups in the Marsa Ali mountain sector of Tuz Khurmatu. The brigade’s forces quickly engaged the attackers in an exchange of fire, forcing them to flee and retreat into rugged terrain without achieving their objectives.
The 63rd Brigade command confirmed that its forces remained on high alert, prepared to respond to any militant activity threatening the security and stability of the area.
