Foreign Minister and Egyptian Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Relations


Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Iraq, Ahmed Samir, at the Ministry headquarters in Baghdad on Sunday, as the latter’s diplomatic mission in Iraq nears its conclusion.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that the Minister praised Ambassador Samir for his efforts during his tenure, highlighting his contributions to enhancing bilateral relations and developing areas of joint cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Minister extended his wishes for the Ambassador’s continued success in his future endeavors.



Ambassador Ahmed Samir expressed his gratitude to the Foreign Minister and the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their cooperation and support throughout his time in Iraq. He emphasized his pride in the strong and historical ties between the two countries and his commitment to further developing and strengthening these relations.
