More Than 300,000 People Join zgr zal’s Opposition New Party


Tokat: More than 300,000 individuals have officially joined the ranks of the opposition New Party, led by zgr zal. The deputy chairman of the party’s parliamentary group, G¶khan Gnaydin, revealed the substantial increase in membership and the success of their fundraising efforts during a press conference.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Gnaydin announced that the party’s membership has now exceeded 300,000. He also highlighted that the party’s recent fundraising campaign raised over 411 million Turkish lira within a month, at an exchange rate of 4,800 lira to the dollar. This financial boost is seen as a sign of the party’s growing support across the nation.



Gnaydin, speaking in Tokat province, stated that the New Party has effectively established its organizational structures in 65 provinces, with ongoing efforts to cover all 81 provinces in Turkey. He acknowledged the bureaucratic challenges faced during the party’s formation but expressed confidence in reaching their next milestone of one million members.



Furthermore, Gnaydin outlined the party’s organizational plans, announcing the commencement of district-level conferences on September 12 and provincial conferences on October 18. He emphasized that the financial contributions from citizens are a testament to the party’s popular backing.



The New Party has also attracted notable figures, with 236 mayors from various political parties joining its ranks. This includes former Good Party provincial branch head mer Sagl, and the mayors of Atak¶y and Kinik, who have resigned from the Democratic Party and the Republican People’s Party, respectively.



Gnaydin concluded by affirming the party’s commitment to preparing for the forthcoming elections, particularly after the general congress scheduled for October.
