Basra: The head of the Basra Provincial Council, Khalaf al-Badran, accompanied by a government delegation, engaged in discussions on joint cooperation between Basra and Isfahan provinces with officials in Isfahan Province, Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Badran arrived at Isfahan International Airport along with a delegation comprising 30 members, including provincial council members and government officials, marking an official visit. Upon arrival, they were greeted by Counselor Ahmed Latif Ali, the Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Isfahan; Dr. Masoud Nika’in, the representative of the Governor of Isfahan; and Counselor Mustafa Dowlatyar, the representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement from the council head’s office highlighted that the purpose of the visit is to discuss frameworks for joint cooperation between the two provinces. The discussions aim to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the service, investment, and development sectors, to benefit the public interests of both Basra and Isfahan.
