Fayhan Engages Minority Representatives on Amendments to Yazidi Survivors Law

Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, hosted a meeting with several minority members of the House of Representatives to deliberate on potential amendments to the Yazidi Survivors Law. The discussions aimed at enhancing justice and fairness for communities that endured violations during the ISIS insurgency.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fayhan highlighted the significant hardships faced by minorities during the ISIS era. He asserted that any legislative changes should uphold fairness and protect the rights of those impacted. Fayhan instructed that a collaborative meeting be organized with minority representatives to align their perspectives on the necessary amendments. This initiative is expected to result in a joint document outlining key observations and proposals, which will be submitted to the Speaker of Parliament for further consideration and action. The ultimate goal is to fortify the protection of community rights and honor their sacrifices.
