Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports for Youth Affairs, Dr. Ari Kamal Mustafa, has welcomed the returning champions of the Iraqi Motorsports Federation following their successful outing in Egypt. The athletes recently participated in the “Yalla Sahel – Rev It Up” festival, where they achieved commendable international results.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Mustafa extended his congratulations to the athletes and assured them of the Ministry’s continued support. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary logistical assistance for future competitions, which will bolster Iraq’s presence in international sports and promote the country’s flag at global events.
Dr. Mustafa highlighted that the athletes’ performance is indicative of the steady progress in Iraqi motorsports and the capability of Iraqi competitors to attain commendable results on an international stage. He reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to supporting accomplished athletes and ensuring they have the resources needed to enhance their skills and global presence.
During the meeting, the Undersecretary was briefed by Farouk Al-Rubaie, President of the Iraqi Automobile Federation, on the participation’s specifics and the results achieved. Al-Rubaie detailed that the Iraqi team secured three first-place finishes in international competitions featuring 22 racers from different countries, alongside impressive outcomes in the Car Park Drift events.
Al-Rubaie expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ unwavering support, acknowledging that the achievements are a testament to the extensive preparation and skill development efforts for the racers. This support played a critical role in reaching these notable accomplishments.
