Basra: The Basra Education Directorate has issued a stern warning against the spread of unsubstantiated accusations and allegations targeting its staff and operations. The Directorate emphasized its commitment to protecting the reputation of the educational institution and maintaining public trust.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate General of Education in Basra has expressed its firm rejection of any unfounded claims that lack supporting evidence or official documentation. The Directorate highlighted that these practices are damaging to both the institution and its personnel.

In its statement, the Directorate made clear that it handles any information related to corruption, exploitation, or extortion seriously and responsibly. It urged individuals who experience exploitation or are asked for payment under false pretenses of job appointments to report such instances directly to the Directorate. Providing information and evidence against those impersonating employees or abusing the Directorate’s name is crucial for enabling legal action and judicial proceedings.

The Directorate underscored the importance of avoiding rumors and undocumented news, which can cause harm if circulated indiscriminately. It called for individuals with genuine information about any violations or corrupt practices to use official channels and oversight bodies to report them, rather than resorting to social media dissemination without evidence.

The Directorate reaffirmed its stance on not tolerating harm to its or its staff’s reputation. Legal and judicial actions will be pursued against anyone making baseless accusations or defamatory claims without proper evidence, including seeking judicial recourse against those proven to have wronged the institution or its employees.
