Zarbatia: A vehicle violating import regulations and causing a waste of public funds was seized at the Zarbatia border crossing. The Zurbatiya border crossing directorate seized a vehicle at a search and inspection point outside the customs area. The vehicle was found to be carrying printed cellophane rolls.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate explained in a statement: “The description of the goods was altered in an attempt to evade customs duties, resulting in a loss of public funds.” It indicated that a formal seizure report was prepared and the vehicle was transferred to the Zurbatiya Customs Police Station to present the matter before the investigating judge of the Badra Court, for legal action against those responsible.
