According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Police Command stated in a press release that a force from the Al-Hadi Police Station apprehended the two parties involved in a fight that broke out in the Al-Kuzayza area following a dispute between neighbors over children, which escalated into gunfire. The statement added that the fight resulted in injuries to two people, who were transferred to Al-Fayhaa Teaching Hospital for treatment and are in stable condition.

The statement indicated that the necessary legal procedures are being taken against those arrested, in preparation for referring them to the competent authorities.
