Baghdad: The Governor of Salah al-Din, Haitham al-Zahwan, is actively overseeing the progress of the commemoration of Imam Hassan al-Askari’s martyrdom in the city of Samarra. Salah al-Din Governor Haitham al-Zahwan visited the holy shrine of Imam al-Hasan al-Askari on Friday evening to observe the pilgrimage activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his visit, the governor met with Ali Razouqi al-Lami, who is a representative from the Prime Minister’s office. The meeting was also attended by Salah al-Din Police Chief Major General Mustafa Ahmed Habib. Together, they reviewed the current service and security measures in place, ensuring the smooth flow of pilgrims and the adequacy of services provided to them.

Governor al-Zahwan assured that the province is committed to providing necessary services through all associated institutions and departments. He emphasized that all provincial departments and institutions are on high alert, dedicated to meeting the needs of the pilgrims and ensuring a smooth and organized pilgrimage process.
