Baghdad: The body of a young man was recovered from an irrigation river in Diyala. Diyala police divers successfully retrieved the body from an irrigation canal located east of Baquba, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police source revealed that Diyala police divers found the young man’s body in the Al-Ruz River near Baladruz. The incident occurred while the individual was swimming in the river.

The source further informed that all necessary legal and procedural measures were taken following the recovery. The relevant authorities have commenced completing the procedures related to the incident.
