Baghdad: The House of Representatives has successfully concluded the reading of three new pieces of legislation. In a session held today, the Iraqi Parliament completed the first reading of significant draft laws that have the potential to impact international relations and sustainable energy initiatives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session saw the first reading of the draft Arbitration Law, which aims to provide a structured mechanism for resolving disputes through arbitration. Additionally, the Parliament reviewed the draft law ratifying the United Nations Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation, which is expected to enhance Iraq’s capacity to engage in and benefit from international mediation agreements.

Furthermore, the legislative body addressed the draft law concerning Iraq’s accession to the Framework Agreement for the Establishment of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) of 2016. This move is seen as a step towards integrating Iraq into global efforts to promote solar energy usage and sustainable development.
