Gold Prices Surge to Three-Month High as Investors Await Key Economic Indicators


Baghdad: Gold prices continued their upward trend on Monday, reaching their highest level in over three months, as investors awaited US inflation data and a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh later this week.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, spot gold rose 0.7% to $4,636.34 per ounce by 00:15 GMT, marking its highest level since May 15. In addition, US gold futures climbed 0.3% to $4,694.80. The increase in gold prices reflects investor anticipation of upcoming economic indicators that could influence monetary policy decisions.



Among other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.8% to $69.51 per ounce. Platinum saw a gain of 0.4%, reaching $1,885.38, while palladium edged up 0.1% to $1,350.53. These movements in precious metals prices come as market participants closely monitor economic developments that could impact the global financial landscape.
