Baghdad: The General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances announced on Tuesday the arrest of a drug dealer in possession of 36 kilograms of Captagon.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate revealed that special investigation units successfully seized the substantial quantity of Captagon pills and detained the individual after executing a meticulously planned ambush. This operation led to the suspect being caught in the act.

The Directorate further stated that it remains committed to ongoing security and intelligence efforts aimed at apprehending drug traffickers. The emphasis was placed on the Directorate’s resolve, as they declared that the law will continue to pursue and dismantle drug trafficking networks to protect society from the threats they pose.
