Basra: The Palace of Culture and Arts in Basra, in cooperation with the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation for Culture and Media and Shanshal Mall Radio, celebrated the artists participating in the “Colors of Karbala” exhibition. This event took place in the Shanshal Mall hall over two days and was organized to commemorate the Arba’een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of the Palace of Culture and Arts in Basra, Basim Hussein Ghalab, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the artists involved in the exhibition. The display featured more than thirty paintings that depicted the epic of Karbala, highlighting its heroic and humanitarian aspects. Ghalab also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with civil society organizations to host additional cultural events.

In his address, Ghalab announced upcoming plans for the Palace of Culture, which include launching a children’s festival. This initiative will be in partnership with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and various civil society organizations, including the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation, the Shanshal Mall administration, the Young Artists’ Experiences Group, and the Al-Rahma Foundation, among others.

To conclude the celebration, the Palace of Culture, along with the Thaghr Al-Fayhaa Foundation and the Shanshal Mall administration, presented certificates of appreciation and gifts to the honored artists.
