Iraqi Delegation Engages in International Media Forum on Islamic Civilization in Tashkent


Baghdad: The Iraqi Media Network, in coordination with the Ministry of Trade’s Department of Foreign Economic Relations, participated in the International Media Forum on Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent.



According to Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Media Network delegation, represented by Diaa al-Saadi, head of the news department at Al-Iraqiya News Channel, and presenter Sadiq al-Shammari, took part in the five-day forum. The event focused on the role of the media in promoting Islamic civilization and preserving its heritage.



The delegation’s participation reflects Iraq’s active role in international media forums and underscores its cultural and media mission, the statement said. The forum, hosted at the headquarters of the Center for Islamic Civilization, is attended by more than 250 media professionals, academics, and media decision-makers from various television channels and international news agencies.



The event serves as a high-level international platform to highlight the rich heritage of Islamic civilization and promote communication while accurately and faithfully conveying enlightened cultural concepts to people around the world.
