Reconstruction Coalition Celebrates Conclusion of German Military Mission in Iraq

Erbil: The Reconstruction and Development Coalition has expressed satisfaction over the conclusion of the German forces’ mission in Iraq, viewing it as a significant achievement in the nation’s pursuit to reinforce its sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the coalition highlighted that the termination of the German military advisors’ mission marks a pivotal step in concluding the international coalition’s presence in Iraq. This development aligns with the agreement formed during the previous government’s tenure.

The coalition emphasized that this milestone is a result of the sacrifices made by the Iraqi people and the concerted efforts of the state to enhance its sovereignty. It signifies Iraq’s progression towards greater autonomy in managing its security needs and establishing its security relationships with international partners.

The official announcement about the conclusion of the German military mission was made at Camp Stefan, located at Erbil International Airport. This mission had been part of the international coalition’s efforts to combat ISIS in Iraq for several years.
