Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, recently hosted Dr. Qadir Temiz, head of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM), along with a delegation of academics and researchers from the center. The meeting underscored the mutual interests of Iraq and Turkey, with a particular focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, discussions during the meeting revolved around key issues such as security, economic relations, social dynamics, and water resources. A significant part of the dialogue was dedicated to the Development Road project, an initiative aimed at bolstering infrastructure and connectivity between the two nations.

Al-Hakim highlighted the importance of forming strategic partnerships with Turkish companies, especially in the field of agriculture. He emphasized the need for comprehensive and individualized studies on these matters to advance the agricultural sector. Moreover, al-Hakim advocated for strengthening public diplomacy to reinforce the bonds between the neighboring countries, ensuring their interests are mutually beneficial and aligned.
