Tehran: The Iranian army has declared that it maintains operational control over critical maritime areas, including regions east of the Strait of Hormuz, the northern Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Sea of Oman.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the announcement was made through a press release, in which the Iranian army stated that they monitor ships hundreds of kilometers before they reach the Strait of Hormuz. The army asserted that vessels can only pass through these strategic waters if they obtain permission from Iranian forces.
The press release further emphasized that despite sustaining damage, the Iranian naval forces have successfully prevented enemy warships from nearing Iranian shores. This control over the strategic maritime zones reflects the country’s commitment to securing its maritime boundaries and maintaining regional influence.
