Mosul: The Deputy Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Mohammed al-Jubouri, engaged in discussions with the Director of the Northern Region Railways, Engineer Bassam Hamid Khalaf, alongside Sheikh Zaid al-Abdrabuh. The meeting focused on assessing the current state of railway operations within the province and identifying its most urgent needs.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Jubouri stated, “Work has been underway to develop the railway infrastructure and address the obstacles hindering its operation, thereby contributing to improved transportation services.” He further mentioned that discussions included the potential to enhance the railway’s role in supporting transportation and economic activities, aligning with Nineveh Governorate’s development plans.
Both parties underscored the significance of advancing the railway sector and reactivating its function in serving citizens and bolstering economic activity in the province.
