Baghdad: The Ministry of Planning convened a meeting to discuss the annual admission plan for medical and health colleges for the academic year 2026-2027. The meeting, chaired by Dr. Maher Hammad Johaan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Technical Affairs, focused on executing Cabinet Resolution No. (92) of 2020.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the committee evaluated the latest data from relevant authorities and examined the indicators and criteria to be used for calculating the admissions plan. The members also reviewed related documents and correspondence to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the requirements.

The meeting addressed various topics and proposals from committee members, aiming to balance educational outcomes, health institution needs, and labor market demands. Dr. Maha Abdul Karim Al-Rawi, Director General of the Human Development Department, along with several representatives from related entities, participated in the discussions.
