Artificial Intelligence Workshop Explores Security and Military Applications


Baghdad: The Information Operations Center, in collaboration with the Security Media Cell, organized a specialized workshop titled ‘The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Security and Military Institutions.’



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop addressed the significance of employing artificial intelligence and cybersecurity technologies to develop intelligence and information work. It also focused on enhancing the capabilities of institutions in navigating the rapidly evolving digital environment. The event reviewed prominent cyber and information challenges and threats, and explored methods to confront them.



The workshop also delved into mechanisms for utilizing artificial intelligence applications in data analysis, pattern and indicator detection, supporting decision-making, and bolstering the ability to anticipate and respond to threats. It highlighted the importance of building specialized national cadres and developing an integrated system for cooperation and exchange of expertise among relevant entities.



This initiative is part of the Information Operations Center’s efforts to enhance national capabilities in the information and technology sectors. It aims to keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, thereby contributing to the national security system and improving the efficiency of intelligence work.



The workshop underscored the necessity of continuing to hold specialized programs and workshops and expanding cooperation between relevant institutions. This approach seeks to keep pace with technological progress and enhance national preparedness for future challenges.
