Baghdad: The Tourism Authority, part of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, organized a celebration to honor the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. The event was attended by key figures including Qasim al-Sudani, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Fadhil al-Badrani, Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs, and Nasser Ghanem Murad, Head of the Tourism Authority, along with various directors general, officials, and staff members.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the celebration commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran. This was followed by speeches and discussions that focused on the Prophet’s life, the significance of his message, and the noble values and humanitarian principles it embodied, such as mercy, tolerance, brotherhood, and good character.

Participants delved into the message of Prophet Muhammad to his nation, highlighting how his life serves as a timeless model of ethics, justice, mercy, and preservation of human dignity. They stressed the importance of drawing inspiration from these values to enhance brotherhood, unity, and social cohesion within society.

The event underscored the esteemed position of Prophet Muhammad in the hearts of the Muslim community. It emphasized that celebrating his birth is an opportunity to reflect on the values established by his message and to reinforce the principles of love, peace, and cooperation among members of society.
