Baquba: A joint team from the Diyala Health Department and the Directorate of Combating Organized Crime has successfully seized two unlicensed medical laboratories and a fake pharmacy during an evening inspection campaign on the outskirts of Al-Muqdadiyah, northeast of Baquba, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was part of ongoing efforts by local authorities to monitor health institutions and combat illegal practices, thereby safeguarding citizens and preserving their health. Faris Al-Azzawi, Director of Media for the Diyala Health Department, emphasized the importance of such oversight activities, noting that they play a crucial role in maintaining public health standards.

Al-Azzawi also highlighted that legal measures have been initiated against those found in violation of regulations, ensuring that the appropriate consequences are enforced to deter future illegal activities in the healthcare sector.
