Diwaniyah: The head of the Diwaniyah Farmers’ Union, Khalid al-Khuza’i, announced the provision of fertilizers and pesticides for agricultural pest control campaigns throughout the province. This will be achieved through specialized committees preparing joint lists.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Khuza’i stated via the local union’s media outlet that “several demands have been raised with the Ministry of Agriculture through the Diwaniyah governor’s office, including agricultural pest control campaigns and compensation for those affected.”

He added that “the Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed that compensation for farmers will be included in the budget.”
