President Nizar Amidi Calls for Firm Action Against Law Violators


Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, has underscored the importance of taking firm and responsible action against individuals attempting to impose their will outside the legal framework. This statement comes in the wake of the tragic deaths of Brigadier General Hisham Muhammad Tala’a and Officer Khalid Abbas Lafteh, who were killed while performing their duties in the Karkh district.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi expressed profound sorrow over the loss of the two law enforcement officers, describing their deaths as a significant tragedy. In his statement, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and colleagues, praying for divine mercy for the deceased and strength for their loved ones.



The President emphasized that no entity should undermine the authority of the state and its institutions, stating that the rule of law and respect for state institutions are obligations for all citizens. He insisted that any actions undermining the state’s prestige and constitutional duties are unacceptable.



President Amidi reiterated the national responsibility of enforcing the law and safeguarding lives and property. He affirmed continuous support for security forces in fulfilling their duties and stressed the necessity of dealing decisively with anyone who challenges the law or targets law enforcement personnel.
