Iraqi Parliament Calls for Swift Action on Dora Incident


Baghdad: The House of Representatives has taken decisive steps by voting on a parliamentary resolution concerning the recent incident in the Dora area. The resolution, passed during the Parliament’s session on Thursday, underscores the urgency for the government to address the situation and bring those responsible to justice.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Parliament has instructed the relevant security agencies to expedite their efforts in apprehending the perpetrators involved in the Dora incident. Additionally, the resolution calls for the government to implement rapid solutions for the residents living in informal settlements, highlighting the need for immediate attention to the affected community.



The resolution further recommends the establishment of a high-level investigative committee to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. This committee is tasked with providing its findings and recommendations to the Parliament. Moreover, the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee has been assigned to monitor the progress of this investigation and report back to the legislative body, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.
