Kirkuk Commander Orders Exclusive Media Coordination with Local Journalists Syndicate

Kirkuk: The Kirkuk Operations Commander, Major General Maad Badai, has directed that all security forces, formations, and intelligence agencies in the region engage solely with the Kirkuk branch of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. This directive establishes the branch as the exclusive entity responsible for organizing, supporting, and representing journalists in the area.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Badai emphasized that the directive reaffirms the role of the Journalists Syndicate as the official representative body for journalists operating within the Kirkuk Governorate. He highlighted the ongoing coordination between the syndicate branch, the Security Media Cell, the Director of Media and Government Communication, and media officials within the security forces and formations.

Major General Badai further explained that the intention of this directive is to organize, facilitate, and support the work of journalists, media professionals, and their institutions through the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate branch. This move is aimed at bolstering governmental efforts and assisting security forces in their operations.
