Baghdad: The Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa Kadhim, visited the mourning tents for the two martyrs of the Al-Dora incident and directed officials to follow up on the needs of the martyrs’ families and work to secure their requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Municipality detailed that Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim, accompanied by the Deputy Mayors for Administrative, Technical, and Municipal Affairs, and all the Directors General of the Municipality’s departments, visited the mourning tents erected in memory of Brigadier General Hisham Muhammad Tala’, Director of the Baghdad Municipality Police in the Karkh district, and Commissioner Khalid Abbas Lafteh. These individuals were martyred while performing their official duty of upholding the law and serving Baghdad.

The statement further elaborated that the Mayor met with the families of the two martyrs, offered his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy, and affirmed the Baghdad Municipality’s support for them. The Municipality is committed to providing the necessary support and care, in appreciation of the martyrs’ sacrifices and bravery in performing their national and professional duty.

The Mayor of Baghdad directed officials to follow up on the needs of the martyrs’ families and work to secure the necessary support for them. In recognition of their sacrifice and appreciation for their service to the capital, the Baghdad Municipality affirmed that the blood of these martyrs will forever be cherished and honored. The municipality will never forget its sons who gave their lives while performing their duty, upholding the law and contributing to the service of Baghdad and its people.
