Kufa: Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, delivered a sermon emphasizing the significance of celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Al-Sadr described this event as the greatest and most complete occurrence, highlighting the Prophet as the Seal of the Prophets and the Master of the Two Worlds, whose presence illuminated the earth.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr’s message was conveyed during a central Friday sermon, broadcasted from pulpits across various provinces, prominently at the Kufa Mosque. The sermon was presented to the congregation by Kufa preacher Kadhim al-Husseini.
Al-Sadr criticized those who commemorate other religious occasions while neglecting the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s birth. He expressed astonishment at those who celebrate Moses’s deliverance on Ashura but fail to commemorate the birth of the Greatest Messenger.
