Amarah: Police units rescued a young man who attempted suicide by jumping from a bridge in Amarah, the capital of Maysan Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source stated, “A police unit was dispatched to the scene immediately upon receiving the report and managed to control the situation and rescue the young man.” The prompt response of the police units was instrumental in preventing the young man from harming himself.

The source added, “The necessary procedures were taken against him, and he was referred to the relevant authorities to complete the legal process.” The legal procedures are expected to ensure that the young man receives the appropriate support and guidance following the incident.
