Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Iraq, Joshua Harris, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and expand the fruitful partnership in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a press release that the meeting took place on the occasion of the end of Harris’s term. They reviewed bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States and explored methods to strengthen joint cooperation in various fields, aiming to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
The statement highlighted that Prime Minister al-Zaidi expressed his appreciation for Harris’s efforts during his tenure in Iraq, wishing him success in his future endeavors. Harris, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Iraqi government for their efforts in developing joint economic cooperation and supporting the consolidation of securi
ty and stability in the region. He emphasized the United States’ commitment to continue developing relations with Iraq to enhance the common interests of both nations.
