Baghdad: The Baghdad Rusafa Police Command announced the arrest of four individuals caught in the act of possessing crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in one of the Rusafa districts.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that the operation came after receiving intelligence indicating the presence of a suspicious house. A team was immediately formed, and after monitoring the house and gathering information about it, suspicious activity was observed inside. Consequently, the house was raided. Several individuals attempted to flee, but the officers managed to apprehend them all.

The statement added that during the search of the house, 11 grams of crystal methamphetamine were seized, in addition to several lighters, drug paraphernalia, and small bags used for distributing narcotics.

The statement concluded that the individuals have been detained pending legal proceedings.
