Baghdad: The political bureau of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, led by Haider al-Fawadi, recently held a strategic meeting with Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Badr Organization, to deliberate on the latest political developments within Iraq as well as broader regional events.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Reconstruction and Development Coalition highlighted the emphasis placed on unifying the national discourse and supporting government initiatives aimed at overcoming the current financial crisis. This crisis has been exacerbated by the ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran and the resulting disruption in oil exports, which has significantly affected Iraq’s financial stability.

The discussions also underscored the necessity of concluding consultations and dialogues related to the formation of the cabinet and the regulation of weapons, ensuring their possession is restricted to the state. These measures are in anticipation of the September 30th deadline for the withdrawal of coalition forces.

Both sides urged all involved parties in the regional conflicts to pursue peaceful resolutions, avoid escalation, and guarantee freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. They stressed the importance of resuming oil exports, as these are critical to the economic stability of the region.
