Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Haybat al-Halbousi and a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) emphasized on Wednesday the importance of strengthening dialogue among political forces.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Halbousi received a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by Hoshyar Zebari. During the meeting, discussions centered on the political situation in the country, along with regional and international developments and their impact on Iraq and the surrounding region.

Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue among political forces and working to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region in accordance with the constitution. This approach aims to enhance stability and encourage joint cooperation.

The meeting also addressed the necessity of strengthening coordination and cooperation between political blocs in Parliament. This initiative seeks to contribute to activating legislative and oversight roles and to advance the completion of priority laws that address citizens’ needs.
